Savannah Democratic Socialists of America
We are a local chapter of Democratic Socialists of America organizing in Savannah and the surrounding coastal Georgia area.
Who we are
A member-led socialist organization.
Savannah DSA brings together workers, tenants, students, veterans, organizers, neighbors, and community members who believe society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to enrich a few.
Our chapter works through public campaigns, political education, mutual aid, electoral work, committee projects, and coalition relationships. Some members are brand new to organizing. Others bring years of experience. The point is to build durable working-class power together.
Our method
We organize through democratic member participation, practical campaigns, political education, and disciplined local work.
Our invitation
You do not need to know every term or theory to start. Bring your questions, your skills, and your willingness to work with others.
What we do
Local organizing with a national movement behind it.
- Organize members into committees and working groups.
- Host public meetings, trainings, and political education.
- Support housing, labor, mutual aid, and electoral work.
- Build relationships with aligned local organizations.
- Help new members find practical entry points.
